Halo TV Series Mercy and Prophets

Here is some of the work I did for the new Halo TV Series on Paramount Plus. Back in 2019 I was at MrX and got the amazing opportunity to be Lead Creature and Blendshape Artist on the show which was wicked since I grew up playing it with friends and family.

For the Prophets they were already designed by Howard Swindell and then used to create lifesize practical ones on set. From there we knew we had to keep them close to the designs and match what was ingested. My main Prophet was the lead Mercy who I had a small flexibility to push a bit more further compared to the other prophets. For Truth and Regret I helped with a finalization pass and created all the blendshapes needed for them.

My Responsibilities for the Prophets were to clean up the ingested asset, Sculpt, Topo, UV, Lookdev, Push Design and Blendshapes.
Models were sculpted in Zbrush, textured in Mari then Rendered in Renderman in Houdini. After me it was a huge effort from Rigging, Anim, Lighting to get them in shots and match the plates that we were given with the practical bodies in frame. I have been watching the show as something more Halo inspired and its much more enjoyable that way =)
